I was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California. I played many sports and I loved Tennis. After getting diagnosed with a physical disability, I realized I couldn’t play professionally like I’d wanted. Soon after, researching Psychology became my new focus and passion. Something that was once a hobby turned into something I thought I could use for good. I learned that my hardships don’t have to define who I am. I was able to connect with people who understood what I was going through, and I began to feel seen. As a queer, mixed person of African, Arab, and European decent, and third generation immigrant from Lebanon. I deeply value culture, heritage, and the unique stories that shape who we are.
